I trained at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, the world’s leading school in Nutritional Psychology, where I received my certification as an Eating Psychology Coach.

My work combines the powerful new fields of Dynamic Eating Psychology and Mind-Body Nutrition. The skills I use from this training are a combination of practical coaching techniques, results-oriented psychology, clinical nutrition, body-centered practices, mind-body science, and a positive and compassionate approach to challenges with food and health.

I am also an author and speaker and suffered from binge eating disorder and chronic dieting for many years, so I understand the struggle faced by those who endure a love hate relationship with food.

For each of us, life is a journey of learning and I believe that everything happens for a reason. My disordered eating led me to write a book ‘Nourishing your Heart and Soul’ and then to study with The Institute for the Psychology of Eating. My lifelong struggle with food has been the doorway that has led me to a place where I can now be of service to others.

My goal as an Eating Psychology Coach and Nutrition Consultant is to help my clients with their many and varied food, body and self esteem related issues. Issues such as weight, chronic dieting, emotional eating, binge eating, body image challenges, fatigue, energy, immunity, mood and nutrition complaints and to help soothe those who feel there is shame attached to disordered eating and weight gain.

We are all travelling our own path and many of us have found the need at times, to use food as a crutch to get us through. We have allowed our emotions to get in the way of dealing with life. Letting go of perfectionism and practicing self love is the key that changed my relationship with food and body image, from one that was challenging and punishing, to one that is now nourishing and pleasurable.

I am learning to be kind and loving to myself, and to give myself permission to eat for pleasure and nourishment without guilt. As each day goes by I am finding more of the soul nourishment I have longed for throughout my life. Ironically, I actually gained weight before I learned how to start loving my body the way it is now instead of waiting to start loving it when it is a few kilos lighter. Now the weight is coming off without effort, my body is healing and my soul knows a freedom I used to dream of. I have come to understand the true meaning of the word embodiment for the first time in my life.

My wish for you is that you will not waste years of your life on dieting, self hate and punishment the way I did and that you will nourish yourself to a point of healing that will culminate in freedom.

Love yourself…….love your life!
